This old guy passed me and Son#2 about 250 miles North West of Edmonton this afternoon.

He had an ear to ear grin and looked like he was at least 80 years old.

Crown wimps out - No Dangerous Offender Status for Whitmore

Last summer, After a week-long manhunt and 10 hour standoff, police captured a long-term habitual pedophile with two boys he'd abducted.
They caught him with the boys.
In the Act.
Well, kidnapping if not actually buggering them. They've got the boys testimony of the way he abducted them, threatened their lives, confined them unlawfully, and raped them.

So why the hell did crown prosecutor Anthony Gerein accept a plea-bargain that keeps Pedophile Peter Whitmore from being declared a dangerous offender?

That's right. Whitmore struck a deal so that in exchange for pleading guilty, he'll get a so-called Life Sentence and a chance for parole after 7 years... -and no Dangerous Offender Designation.

Who screwed up? What's wrong with the evidence? Is Gerein just incompetent, or does he actually believe his pollyannish statement to the press that Whitmore's life sentence "essentially achieves the same goal"??!!!????
Every junior high social studies student knows that a Canadian "life sentence" is NEVER that long, and that the dangerous offender status was introduced in part because of that.

A news story on CTV's website has a list of Whitmore's past history of repeat offenses:

For his sex crimes against five boys, aged 11 to 13, he was sentenced to 16 months in addition to six months' time served, and three years probation. He was released on July 29, 1994, after serving two-thirds of his sentence, with strict orders to avoid contact with children under 14.

Within nine days, he was on the prowl again, this time in Guelph, Ont., where he posed as a worker in child protective services and managed to trick a mother into turning over her eight-year-old girl. He took her to Toronto, where he forced her to perform sexual acts on him before sending her home in a taxi.

Another victim was a boy, 9, who lived next door to Whitmore in Keswick, Ont., and was talked into a sleepover. "(The victim) would say no or stop, it would stop, but then Peter Whitmore would offer money and ask to do it again,'' the court document states. "That occurred a few times over the course of the one night in question.''

For those two crimes, invitation to sexual touching and sexual interference, Whitmore was sentenced to 56 months in prison and prohibited from contact with young children.

Even his cellmate at Millhaven Institution, near Kingston, Ont., was disturbed by some of Whitmore's behaviour.

"I know he needs help,'' reported the inmate. "He would stand six inches from TV and stare at kids. He would even touch the screen where the kid's private parts were. I remember one time when he told me that women were nothing but trouble.''

Back then, he'd admitted to prison psychologist Bruce Malcolm that he'd had 10 or 11 "what he considered 'relationships' with boys mainly under the age of 12.'' He didn't co-operate with treatment programs in any serious way. Malcolm found Whitmore a high risk to reoffend.

Hear that Gerein? "A High Risk to Reoffend."

Whitmore's lawyer, Merv Shaw, said that Whitmore would have a glimmer of hope "he might get out."

Apparently this is ok with Crown Prosecutor Gerein.

Repeatedly, (aside from being Muslim Immigrants or the children of Muslim Immigrants) these fanatics appear as otherwise regular citizens. Britains Prime Minister, Mr. Bean Gordon Brown has ordered a review of the recruitment process for Britain's national health service.
I'll wager money there are many influental people in Her Majesty's government who will insist they not pay special attention to Muslims or Middleastern applicants.

Unbelievably, there are still people in the west who think this is a religion of Peace.

I had hopes for this guy. But today I read that he's got the anti-common sense sickness bad. British Prime Minister Gordon Brown has banned his ninnisters from using the word "Muslim" in connection with Terrorist incidents.

hmmm. Britons have suffered from terrorism in the past from several different sources, but only a f*cking idiot couldn't fail to notice that the most recent convicted terrorists in the UK were, with names like Muktar Said Ibrahim, Yassin Omar Ramzi Mohammed Hussein Osman, not Christians, Buddhists, or Confucists or Californian-New-Age-freakoids. duhh.

safety nazis strike again - ban ice cream trucks

There was a time when Canada earned the respect of other nations through the deeds of her citizens. Rugged, tough-minded pioneers carved their farms, homes and lives out of a vast wilderness, often with no one to rely on but themselves.

Contrast that with the recent Canadian copy of the American tv show ‘Survivor.’ "Pioneer," it was called or some other such name, where our intrepid Canuck contestants were dropped off in the wilds of Manitoba to live like our homesteading forefathers of the 18^th and 19^th centuries. Most people don’t even remember it. I watched a little of that forgettable show, and the single strongest image I took from it was of one contestant sitting on the ground in utter exhaustion, sobbing, “I can’t do this anymore...”

It was a great moment in Canadian television they tell me. Bah!

Today’s Toronto Globe and Mail had a front page story about a Squamish Nation mother on Vancouver Island, upset with her family and community’s losing struggle with obesity and diabetes has chosen to fight in what is now, sadly, the Canadian way: try to use the Government to fix it. Doris Paul has managed to get three communities on Vancouver Island’s North shore to ban ice cream trucks, (apparently because people can't be trusted to eat icecream in moderation on the streets.) Why is it that more and more Canucks think it’s the Government’s job to fix society? (I'll give Doris Paul credit for changing her family's diet, but why oh why does she feel the compulsion to impose her foodnazi-view on others????)

Here’s some more examples:

· In 1987 I served on the traffic safety committee of the city of Fort St. John, B.C.. There, the poor, deluded, NDP-voting parents of that city had managed to get most of the residential streets declared playground zones. When I was a child, my parents taught me not to play in the street. What the f*ck is wrong with parents in Fort St. John?

· I now live in a community of 3,500 people just past the Edmonton city limits. In communities all across this nation people safely drive 50 kph (30 mph) in residential areas. Except here, where nervous parents have lowered the speed limit to 40kph.

· As more and more city people move into rural subdivisions, you begin to see more and more go-slow zones on highways in the middle of nowhere. Near here, is a two mile stretch of rural highway in Parkland county that has a 80kph speed limit because of nearby nervous parents in a subdivision a quarter of a mile off the highway. For pete’s sake, whatever happened to teaching your kids to stay the hell off the road? No, their first reaction is to demand a Government fix. Not only do Government fixes cost taxpayers money, but they tend to impose greater and greater interferences in our lives.

Not that Doris Paul probably cares about the tax thing, I'll bet she doesn't pay taxes anyway.

MS planned obsolecence

Wrote a blog entry on my work notebook today, it came with office2007. I've just now discovered that I can't use it for material I need to share with my XPdesktop at home. .docx isn't backwards compatible with wordpad on my xp system. It looks like this:

"word/document.xml" and shit like that.

It's a little thing, but I'll have to go back to work, reopen the document, and save it in frickin notepad or something. I'm buying a new pc later this summer, but this bit of deliberate planned obsolecence earns the dickwads at Microsoft NO BROWNIE POINTS with this consumer.

Don't reward the Militants

Despite all the high-sounding rhetoric about justice and poverty from Phil Fontaine and the other 'professional indian lobbyists ' this entire effort is about money, circumvention of the democratic process, access to power, and the use of force to impose their agenda of extortion on the rest of Canada.

After Oka and Ipperwash and Caledonia this special interest group has learned that occupation, a blockade, and the threat of armed violence buys money, land, and virtual immunity from prosecution.   At least, to the rest of Canada, that's how it looks.

Don't reward these economic terrorists with more money.  Don't continue to reward this special interest group for continuing to break the laws of this land with impunity.  They are becoming more and more militant, and should not be encouraged.  The Federal Government already gives them almost as much money as the Department of National Defense.

For over 30 years now, successive Liberal Governments have increased and increased spending on this racial group, pouring money and manpower into programs and handouts.
The result?
All this welfare support has hurt them.  Greater than ever levels of despair, abuse, alienation, alcoholism, criminal behavior, FAS, welfare dependancy, and now militantism.  Their idea of self-improvement is to demand more money from the taxpayers!  Demand it!

Lets stop perpetuating this bullshit.  We need to call for the Government to stop abusing the first nations people with my taxpayer money. They've had enough.

Fear of Police? Not very Canadian, eh?

From Toronto today there's story about how the 3 survivors of a fatal shooting know who did it, but are refusing to identify the killers to police.

"The three surviving victims of a brazen weekend shooting in northwest Toronto are refusing to co-operate with police, even though one of their friends was killed in the incident... Residents in the Rexdale... said they stick to the "no snitching" code of silence because they don't trust police and fear retaliation."

Tough shit. I've said it before, if the victims are covering up for the criminals they're fricking accessories: Charge the so-called victims if they won't assist the police investigation.

Is it an earmark of Canadian tradition to not trust the police? No. By and large we believe we have the right to expect our police to be largely free of the taint of corruption which plagues so many third-world police forces. It's in many parts of Asia and Latin America that you fear the police. How surprised would you be to learn the gang-plagued neighborhood of Rexdale has a huge immigrant component?

Fear of retaliation? Sadly, The liberals have successfully criminalized self-defense, so Canadians have little choice in these matters but to go to the police. We are defenseless in the face of violent crime, it seems that's what the government wants. That liberal dumb-ass, Ontario Premier Mcginty is even using this killing as an excuse to call for tougher gun-laws. Riiiight Dalton, I'll bet you a million dollars and a hundred innocent bystanders that the weapons used in the killings weren't obtained in a law-abiding manner anyway. Moron.

The media is, as usual, bending over backwards not to mention race or immigration. I'm not blaming immigration. I'm not against immigration. But the greatest peaceful case of mass immigration in our history was during the last century, when immigrants were expected to ASSIMILATE into their new society, and become citizens of their new countries, -and not expatriate Whatever-Canadians.
