CBC Archives: Edited for Ideological purity?

I was eager to denounce the CBC this morning. I couldn't find a specific podcast in their archives that questioned one of the sacred cows of the Politically Correct and I jumped to the obvious conclusion that it had been deliberately left out or lost. As historical revisionism is one of the identifying characteristics of Political Correctness, and the CBC is nothing if not nauseatingly p-c in the extreme, this was not an absurd conclusion. So I set out to review their archives to prove it and immediately discovered that I'd made a mistake.

The programming item I sought hadn't aired yet.

Oops.

So without any further need to prove a point, I gave up on wasting any more time reviewing their archives for nefarious activity; that's the sort of thing the Politically Correct do.

Yet I remain dissatisfied with our state broadcaster. It's mandate has been obsolete for decades; it's audience has shrunk to a miniscule percentage of the population; as a taxpayer-funded entity it depresses the economy by leeching advertising dollars away from private broadcasters; and worse,  it uses my tax-dollars to promote a Big-Government tax-and-spend socialist ideology I don't agree with.

That last point is particularly galling.  If the CBC were a private enterprise it should be free to adopt any editorial standpoint the ownership desired. Yet as one of the current owners ( I'm paying for it, so I damn well consider myself an owner) of the CBC I am regularly disappointed with what I get for my money. Clearly the CBC needs new owners.

I were Prime Minister, I'd privatize the CBC with my first breath.

Obama: Facts versus Feelings

I have met many people who've told me they like Barrack.Obama. But other than, "He's better than Palin", or  "It's good that he's Black" they haven't given me any good reasons why.  It's for them that I'm linking to this Bill Whittle youtube video.  Whittles points out facts, not feelings.

You might also try reading the comments about the video by outraged liberals.  No good counter-arguments. Mostly just feelings.  That might be a good way to pick your class president or favorite brand of liquor, but these retards use em to pick their leader...

China's Space/Time Warp News Agency

Hahhahahahahah!!!!

Aw man, this is rich.

Earlier this week, Communist China's official government news agency, Xinhua, published news reports about a manned orbital launch and spacewalk, including orbit-to-ground conversations, before the rocket took off.

FAIL!!!!!!

Xinhua's breathless account of the launch included fictional ground-to-orbit dialogue like:

“First-level measurement arrangement!

“After this order, signal lights were all switched on. Various data show up on rows of screens, hundreds of technicians staring at the screens, without missing any slightest changes . . .

“One minute to go! . . .

“The firm voice of the controller broke the silence of the whole ship. Now, the target is captured 12 seconds ahead of the predicted time . . .

Of course this is all in keeping with China's preoccupation with putting on a good false front for the world to see. Most recently, we remember some of the fast ones they tried to pull in the Olympics.

Somebody in Xinhua is going to be sent to the slave labor factory for this boner.

Btw, the actual mission was apparently a success, with the astronauts returning safely, earlier today.
