A liberal takes a Strong Stance

Ontario's Liberal Premier Dalton McGuinty has come out with a strong stance in the election controversy: He's gonna straddle the fence. What was his main concern? The Federal Liberals insistence in ignoring last week's non-confidence motion? New Revelations of Liberal misappropriation of funds? Paul Martin's continued cross country pre-electioneering at the tax-payer's expense? No.

CTV today reports that McGuinty, meeting today with Conservative Opposition leader Stephen Harper, was mostly concerned with keeping the $500 million dollar bribe Paul Martin promised his province earlier this month.

Harper said the Conservatives will honor Paul Martin's briberies, and McGuinty promised to be neutral in the election campaign.
